The secret to running motivation is....RUNNING!

I don't know why I forget this every time. I let myself lapse and don't run for about a week and then I can't remember why I like run. But EVERY TIME, without fail, once I get my butt out there and run I have the same epiphany, "Oh, yeah. That's it! Why haven't I been running again?"

It is difficult to remember the sensations of running: what make it special, meaningful, enjoyable; when you stop doing it for a while. But all it takes is about two minutes of a slow jog to remember why I love this so much.

I just wish I could remember this feeling when I get in another one of my slumps.
