Not so much running as...

Well, today I had great ambitions to get a good run in. The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining, but, alas, I spent most of the time walking. It was a great walk, though. Any other day it would have been wonderful. Today, however, it just added to my pre-race anxiety. If I could barely run today, how can I do 5 miles??!?!

Where have I been?

I cannot believe that I have not posted since the time when I decided to start running. Oh how things have changed in such a short amount of time. I now consider myself to be a "runner," whatever that means. I will be running the 8k Shamrock Shuffle this weekend. It is a kick-off event for the start of race season in Chicago. Over 22,000 people! I just hope I don't get run over if I slow down too much. And I hope that I can run for the majority of it. It is only 4.9 miles. Which for some reason, to me, sounds alot less than 5 miles. I now understand the concept of $x.99 pricing.
